Eligibility Criteria for President of India :

Article of 58 of the constitution sets the principal qualifications one must meet to be eligible to the office of the president. A president must be:

• a citizen of India.
• of 35 years of age or above.
• Qualified to become a member of the Lok Sabha.

6. Neelam Sanjiva Reddy, the first Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He became the youngest President ever at the age of 64. One of the incredible feats that Reddy achieved was that he renounced residency at the Rashtrapati Bhavan and took a 70 percent cut in his salary as a gesture toward the poor economic conditions of the masses in 1977.
